About Cheers To The Cook

How the idea was born:
With busy lives and little time for cooking family meals, Janet and Jeannette decided to assemble a set of meals for their family at a San Antonio meal-assembly store. Both women walked away from the experience changed forever. Each family discovered a freezer full of delicious and healthy meals and the pair was now on a path that would change their lives. The women knew that meal-assembly wasn’t just a ‘big city convenience’. Families in Fredericksburg need a solution to the nagging question each day, “What’s for dinner?” Offering a meal-prep store in the Hill Country was the goal for Jeannette and Janet.

Friendship and Partnership:
Jeannette and Janet are proud wives of Police Officers. Jeannette lives in Kerrville with her husband, Chuck, daughter and son. She is an experienced Manager in the grocery industry. Janet lives in Fredericksburg with her husband, Hal and two sons. Janet’s background is Marketing and Training.

Their husbands introduced the wives and fate made them friends. The two families have many things in common and aspire to be an asset to their community and raise their children to be great adults. Both families moved from two of Texas’ largest cities to focus on their family and realize that the best thing you can give your children is your time.

As their families grew, they realized that preparing the most important meal of the day, dinner at the table with family, was becoming more and more difficult. Like most busy families, they found themselves and their friends talking about how they didn’t have time to cook dinner and have quality time with their family.

Our Community
Opening Cheers To The Cook was our way of bringing the convenience and fellowship of preparing meals back to busy parents and working people here in our community. It is a great place for single people or empty-nesters to prepare meals that are the right portion-size for their lives, as well.
Great tasting, quality food is important to us and we know it is important to you. We have spent countless hours perfecting our recipes in our own kitchens. All of the dinners were tested by our own families and our friends.
The best part is that you will not have the last minute calls on the way home from work, soccer or dance practice, trying to decide what is for dinner. You won’t have to stop at the grocery store (takes too long) or swing through the nearby fast food restraint (unhealthy and expensive!) We have done the time consuming parts for you – menu planning, grocery shopping, slicing, dicing and the clean-up! When you walk our door, you will be minutes away from a delicious meal that your family will enjoy.
